  1. Union Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju released the first edition of the Dogri version of the Constitution of India on 9 April, 2023. 
  2. Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, replacing Justice Jaswant Singh who recently retired.  
  3. President Droupadi Murmu on 8 April, 2023 attended the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Gauhati High Court in Assam.
  4. At the World Vaccine Congress 2023 held in Washington, USA from 3-6 April 2023, Bharat Biotech was awarded the Best Production/Process Development award as a part of the Vaccine Industry Excellence (ViE) awards.
  5. In a significant development, the Election Commission has granted national party status to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The party’s recognition as a national party is based on its electoral performance in four states- Delhi, Goa, Punjab, and Gujarat.
  6. Indian men’s singles badminton player Priyanshu Rajawat clinched his first-ever tour title, beating Magnus Johannesen of Denmark in the final of the Orleans Masters 2023 in France on 9 April, 2023.
  7. India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant has received a unique gift in form of its original bell, which was installed on the first carrier of the same name commissioned in 1961. The bell was given by recently retired Vice Chief of Navy Staff Vice Admiral SN Ghormade to the commanding officer of INS Vikrant on 22 March, 2023.
  8. United Arab Emirates’ Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) on 14 April 2023, will launch its second nanosatellite ‘DEWA Sat-2’ to enable remote sensing applications.
  9. PM Narendra Modi launched International Big Cats Alliance (IBCA) on 9 April, 2023 to save seven species of big cats, including tigers, lions, leopards, cheetahs, jaguars, snow leopards, and clouded leopards.
  10. Delhi Capitals captain David Warner on 8 April, 2023 became the fastest batsman to reach the 6000-run mark in the Indian Premier League (IPL) during a match against Rajasthan Royals at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
  11. The American space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in collaboration with SpaceX launched an air-quality monitor called the TEMPO (Tropospheric Emissions Monitoring of Pollution) instrument on 7 April, 2023.
  12. Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister for AYUSH, on 7 April 2023, inaugurated the International Yoga Mahotsav at the Dibrugarh University Playground to mark the upcoming International Day of Yoga 2023.
  13. The world’s first conservation and breeding center for the critically endangered Asian king vulture is set to open in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district.
  14. Bangladesh, India, and Japan are set to hold a connectivity event in Tripura, India on 11-12 April, 2023 which is aimed at exploring connectivity initiatives and leveraging the commercial potential of the region.
  15. The Special Forces of the US and India are carrying out wargames with a focus on supporting fighter aircraft operations in forward areas from 9 April, 2023.
  16. Ben Ferencz, the last living prosecutor from the Nuremberg trials during which the Nazis were tried for genocidal war crimes, passed away on 9 April, 2023.
